IAN MOORES

Who is he? Ian has responsibility in the practice for tax and tax planning. He has accumulated significant experience in a wide range of tax planning scenarios and is a Member of the Tax Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Specialist interests include the following sectors:

• Fisheries and Food Processing
• Pension Schemes

Ian has wide ranging experience of providing business clients with strategic planning advice and managing business growth.

As the firm’s senior partner he has overseen the firm’s move to its current premises, which provides modern office accommodation within a traditional stone building in the centre of Truro.

COLIN TRUSCOTT

Who is he? Business advice with a penchant for thinking outside the box are Colin’s hallmarks. In addition to his role at Lang Bennetts, he is also a non-executive Director of a large local group of companies where his business acumen is valued.

Specialist interests - Colin’s portfolio of clients, whilst diverse, includes a significant concentration in the following sectors where he has developed specialist knowledge:

• Property Developers, Construction Businesses and Estate Agents
• Leisure Sector clients, in particular large hotels
• Trust Funds

The generation and the preservation of wealth are the underlying themes to Colin’s advice, whether through business development, estate planning or advice on the use of financial services.

JONATHAN MASHEN

Who is he?  He is a former mining engineer with experience in UK coal and South African goldmines.

What does he do? Jonathan has a wide range of experience dealing with owner managed businesses, local government, registered charities and industrial and provident societies. Charities and not for profit businesses are his specialism, he regularly presents informative seminars to the sector.

Other areas of specialism include: construction, developers, and public house operators.
